Tasting Profile - Medium

A smooth medium roast with rich earthy, herbal, and dark chocolate notes. The full body and low acidity create a comforting, everyday brew that delivers distinctive Indonesian character without caffeine, perfect for any time of day.

Altitude and Processing

1,200-1,600 MASL (meters above sea level). The semi-washed processing method, typical of Indonesian coffees, enhances the coffee’s natural body and earthy characteristics. The beans undergo partial fermentation and controlled drying, developing the distinctive full-bodied profile. The Swiss Water Process decaffeination method removes 99.9% of caffeine, preserving the coffee's natural flavors and characteristics, resulting in a full-flavored decaf.

Indonesia, Mandhelingo

Mandhelingo is located in the highlands of Sulawesi, where traditional farming methods and unique processing create distinctive Indonesian coffee characteristics. The region's smallholder farms utilize time-honored cultivation practices in volcanic soils, producing beans with the full body and earthy complexity that defines premium Indonesian coffee.

Blend Composition

Java Toraja is a premium Indonesian varietal known for its exceptional body, low acidity, and complex earthy characteristics. This heritage cultivar thrives in Sulawesi's high-altitudes and rich volcanic soils, producing beans with distinctive herbal and chocolate notes. The varietal's natural resilience and unique flavor profile make it ideal for decaffeination, maintaining its characteristic Indonesian complexity and full body throughout the process.

Serving Suggestions

For a full bodied cup, use one tablespoon ground coffee per cup. Brew with boiling water. Prepare in your dripper, french press, percolator, aeropress or coffee maker. Steep 3 to 5 minutes. Sip, Enjoy, Repeat!
